POESIE PER UNA FENICE is my first poetry book. The literal translation of the title is 'poems for a phoenix'.
Everyone is a phoenix. Being alive means we will burn and be born over and over until eventually, we die. 
I started writing because I needed to remember why I liked being alive. A pencil became my best friend as I filled blank pages from cheap notebooks with poems I thought were lame. If I'm being honest, part of me still believes my poems are lame. I just made peace with the fact that the only way to reach a good level at anything in life, is to keep going. 
Writing kept me going during long hours of sadness and hopelessness. 
I embrace how vulnerable I am. 
Without emotion, life is empty.
Through my poems, I explore myself and the world.
This book includes original etchings and engravings I did to visually represent some of the poems. 
As I share this part of me with whoever is willing to take it, I am being born again, happier, stronger, braver, and with a heart full of hope and love. 
I invite you, reader, to allow your inner phoenix to burn because it is only through endings that things start again.
